Something brilliant to create a more autism-friendly world.
Anyone who has met Leo will tell you the exact same thing: he is always happy, cheeky, and getting up to mischief!
Leo’s journey hasn't always been easy. He was diagnosed with Level 2 autism at age two, which was updated to Level 3 last year. He has worked so hard to overcome challenges along the way, and we are so proud of how far he has come. Today, he’s making great eye contact, engaging more socially, and finding his own ways to communicate his wants and needs. Next year, he takes another big step on his journey with surgery to correct his tippy-toe walking.
While Leo communicates mostly without words, he has a big heart and loves helping others in his own special way.
In our family, we have a tradition of not cutting our children's hair for the first five years of their lives. As Leo approaches his 5th birthday, we want to celebrate this milestone by making a bigger difference—using his very first haircut to raise funds to support other children and families on the autism journey.
By supporting this fundraiser, you’ll help provide early diagnosis, practical resources and information, inclusive environments and specialist schooling so Autistic people can embrace their different brilliant®.
Please donate now, to help build a more inclusive world where Autistic Australians have the opportunity to thrive, and every kind of brilliant is celebrated.
Thank you!
