Hi 👋🏻 My names Jenaya, and I have autism.
I was diagnosed right before heading into year 11, so a little late. I was able to get the support I needed for my senior years in high school. But I had absolutely no support in school, or outside of school before then. And it was hard.
I am so incredibly lucky to have the support I need now through NDIS. But not everyone is as lucky to have the support they need.
That is my why. I want everyone to have the support they need to help them through life. Because life is already hard enough as it is, let alone adding autism, or any mental disability to the list.
